Stephen Kaufman, Ph.D.
Stephen Kaufman, Ph.D., scientist and educator, taught and ran a research laboratory at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign from 1974 to 2007. Professor Kaufman’s research focused on muscle development and disease. He is the author of more than 75 peer reviewed scientific research publications. His formal education was at Harpur College-Binghamton, NY, University of Colorado Medical Center, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Kaufman’s current interests include art and architecture.
Anne Robin MD
Anne Robin MD is a family physician in Champaign Illinois. She specializes in Public Health and Addiction Medicine and teaches medical students and Residents.
Robert C. Schlagal
Robert C. Schlagal is Professor Emeritus at Appalachian State University. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees in English literature, linguistics and clinical reading from the University of Virginia. Across his career he taught literature, composition and special education, and he conducted research in the area of basic literacy processes and reading and writing disabilities.
Yang Yang, Ph.D.
Yang Yang, Ph.D., is a renowned qigong and t’ai chi (taiji) master, an educator and researcher. Founder and director of the Center for Taiji and Qigong Studies, Dr. Yang was named Qigong Master of the Year by the World Congress on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He authored the acclaimed book Taijiquan: The Art of Nurturing, the Science of Power, and has Taught clinicians and researchers at the Mayo Clinic, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and other major medical institutions.
